I don't know if anyone can see much of a difference here, but the photo on the right shows maize planted with a green manure (the bean like thing), which adds nitrogen and organic matter to the soil. This is the third season of repeating the same experiment on the same piece of land. The soil on the right is gradually improving while the soil on the left is gradually declining. It would be easier to see if you were here.
