Free Calendar

OK. I made calendars as Christmas gifts from photos I took during 2008. And I ordered one too many, so for the past couple of weeks I've been wondering what to do with this last one. I could certainly just give it to someone sort of at random, but I think it would be more fun to see if anyone reading this blog wants it. So I will mail the calendar to the first person (that I know) who sends me their mailing address.

For those that care about cars

Every year it's my tradition to look at all my fuel and mileage data for my car for the year. Sadly, this year, I turned in my 93 Tercel, and purchased a slightly used Yaris. I was curious all year about the difference in performance, since they basically have the same engine, but the Yaris has a few more electronics under the hood. Well, the proof is in the chart below, and the cold hard data:

Tercel, multiple years' data = 6.99 L/100km
Yaris, 7 months' data = 6.85 L/100 km

So, I guess maybe technology does make a difference.
